French knitting and finger knitting strips can be shaped and stitched into poppies. The poppies cost £4.50 with £1.50 postage (I have resurrected my Folksy shop for a limited time only). Buttons or pompoms can be used for the centres. Poppies can be as simple or complicated as you wish. Some poppies may also be used to make a wreath that can be used on Anzac and Remembrance Days. Poppies and squares can be made at home, as well as at school, by students, siblings, parents, grandparents and the wider community, to truly represent the spirit of our school. There are many ideas, videos and patterns on the internet, some of which can be downloaded here on the school website. I envision this wrap to be encrusted with poppies that have been crafted from wool. Twenty-eight squares in total will be needed. We will need to produce one more wrap in shades of green, blue and earthy tones. Following our success in the Wrap with Love project, I am extending this challenge to our wonderful community.
